2022 Alberta Cup: Day One Recap

RED DEER – After a busy first day of the 2022 Alberta Cup in Red Deer, five games are in the books, with Alberta Black and Alberta Grey leading the way with three points apiece.

Alberta Black and Alberta Grey each opened the tournament with 5-2 and 1-0 wins over Alberta Yellow and Alberta Red, respectively, before skating to a 3-3 tie when the two teams met later on the day.

Alberta Yellow earned its first win of the tournament to close out the day, defeating Alberta Red 4-2, while Alberta Blue edged Alberta Green 4-3 in the lone game of the day for both teams.

Day two of the Alberta Cup features four games, starting with Alberta Grey versus Alberta Green at 9am at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre in Red Deer.
