2019 Alberta Cup: Day Three Recap

RED DEER - Round-robin play at the 2019 Alberta Cup in Red Deer is all wrapped up, with Alberta Red and Alberta Black set to battle in the Championship Final.

Alberta Red defeated Alberta Black 6-3 to finish first in the round-robin standings, with the previously undefeated Alberta Black squad landing in second.

Alberta Green beat Alberta Yellow 8-3 earlier in the day, but needed Alberta Black to beat Alberta Red in order to earn a berth in the final, but instead sit third in the standings, and will face Alberta Yellow again in the B Final.

Alberta Blue earned its first win of the tournament with a 6-2 win over Alberta Grey, and the two teams will meet again in the C Final.

The C Final gets underway Sunday morning at 8:30am, the B Final at 11:15am, and the Championship Final is set for 2:00pm. All games will be streamed online by HockeyNow Live.
