2023 Alberta Cup: Day Three Recap

RED DEER – Saturday marked the end of round robin play at the 2023 Alberta Cup.

In the first game of the day, Alberta Green punched their ticket to the championship game after upping Alberta Gold 4-1.

Alberta Grey held on to a 4-2 win over Alberta Black after Black attempted a late-game comeback.

It came down to the final game with Alberta Red and Alberta Blue to determine who was going to the championship. After blanking Alberta Blue 7-0, Alberta Red sealed their fate for a battle of the south region.

It’s an early morning start on Sunday with Alberta Black facing off against Alberta Gold at 8:30 A.M. at the Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre in Red Deer. Alberta Blue and Alberta Grey will meet at 11:15 A.M. and the battle of the south with Alberta Green and Alberta Red will cap off the 2023 Alberta Cup at 2 P.M.
